Sanctuary Homes is proud to be supporting a new campaign raising awareness and promoting the benefits of Shared Ownership.

The campaign, being led by the National Housing Federation (NHF), aims to boost the profile of Shared Ownership, tackle any misconceptions and help more people find their perfect home.

Shared Ownership is a great way for first-time buyers or people who think they may not be able to afford their own home to get a foot on the housing ladder.

Under the scheme, buyers purchase a share of the value of their home – usually between 25 to 75 per cent of the value of the property – and pay a subsidised rent on the remaining portion.

As and when they can afford to, buyers can increase the share they own in the property and even buy their home outright.

Sanctuary Homes offers properties for Shared Ownership at a wide range of its developments, including The Quadrangle in Hornsey and Kingsfield in Glastonbury, helping more people realise their dream of getting a foot on the property ladder.

Donna Williams, Sanctuary’s Director – Sales and Marketing, said: “Shared Ownership is a great option for first-time buyers, growing families looking for a bigger home and anyone looking for an affordable way to get a foot on the property ladder.

“We’re delighted to be working with the National Housing Federation to promote the benefits of Shared Ownership to a wider audience and help give it the profile it deserves.”
