This iconic site, situated in South Glasgow, was formerly used as a hospital. Named after Queen Victoria, the hospital was originally constructed in 1888 and was designed by the Campbell, Douglas and Sellars architects. Over the years the site was subsequently extended and refurbished with it eventually closing in 2015.

Location

The Langside area of Glasgow is an established and desirable suburb of the city.

Situated opposite the Langside monument, which commemorates the 1568 Battle of Langside, The Victoria boasts views over the popular Queen’s Park.

The city centre is just three miles away and can be easily accessed via the Mount Florida railway station and A77.

Nearby Shawlands offers shopping facilities, bars and restaurants, while the iconic Ibrox and Parkhead football grounds are also within close proximity.
